But really there are a few inspiring things (or little people) that keep me in check through out the semester and who will be my inspiration for most of my college career.
Of course the most important reasons for doing what I'm doing at the age that I am and in the point in my life that I am, is my family. If not for Mr.Stanley and Cecelia I would have continued to do what I was doing and most likely be content with my life. However, I knew that I was meant to do much more with my mind and my passion for children and helping them grow in every aspect of their life. Which I pull out my classroom picture from KT
Of course there are a few little ones like my boy Tate that are missing from this picture but most of them are pictured here that have made an amazing impact in both mine and my co-teacher Karmi's life!
I can't imagine how I would have lasted through my pregnancy without all the support and kind words that not only my kids shared with me while teaching them, but also from their parents, aunts, and grandparents.
I have to say that I was very attached to this class and many of them I watched walk into my class only knowing a few words, and when I left them to stay at home with Cece, they were beginning to write their names, speak full sentences and communicating with one another in appropriate manners, along with potty training, and a whole list of other big steps in their life!
But like all things in life you have to keep them moving up in the system for them to continue to challenge their minds and to get use to change.
However, these kids taught me alot about teaching, patience and how even the smallest of children can open your eyes to how you should view things. Not only did the kids teach me but also their parents, they gave their advice about what to do, what not to do and when to just stop listening! I can guarantee that my parenting skills are as great as they are due to all of them!
I only have a about a year and half left of school and on my desk you can always see a picture of my sweet man and daughter, a framed word art given to me by one of those sweet boys (Alex), a few cards my Dad sent to me to keep my spirits up while going through rough patches in school, and my class picture, because in my eyes they will always be my first class I ever taught, and they showed me that I was good at what I was doing and to take it to the next level. So I guess with all my heart I have to thank them and their parents for being the sweet and kind hearted people that they are! And of course Miss. Karmi in all her glory for keeping me sane in some pretty crazy days!
