Sooo...as many of you know I left Mr. Stanley and my sweet Cecelia alone for the entire weekend, while I jetted off to Chicago with these silly girls. All of us are married, all of us have children, all of us needed a short getaway to enjoy the fact that after all of the other priorities in our lives we are still women who have very strong friendships which need to be nurtured every once and awhile.
We did a lot of things and enjoyed each other ALOT! Here are a few of the things that took the spotlight.
On Saturday night we ventured out to the Signiture Lounge on the 96th floor of the Hancock building. I couldn't believe it when we got there; there was a line just to get into the elevator. So the whole time we are all gussied up, I'm thinking we aren't going to be seated forever! However, luck was on our side and as soon as we walked off the elevator a couple had just left there seat and we swooped in and stole it right by the window! So we drank and ate and chatted all with this fantastic view!
(ashley had mini cheeseburgers and martini, I had white and chocolate mousse cake and a lakeshore martini, Emina had terimesu(sp) and grey goose and cranberry)
It was all delicious and it started our weekend off great!
Second!
WE ATE! All of us agreed that most of our money was spent on food! Emina and I being breakfast people ventured out to West Egg at 8 leaving Ashley behind to enjoy her morning in bed! Yes, Emina and I like to take pictures of our food, who wouldn't it was great! Gino's pizza was also amazing and needless to say we didn't eat much after our lunch there on Monday.
Third favortie!
Was the "Bean", yes I know that's not it's actual name but thats what we called it and our cab driver knew what we were talking about so thats all that mattered.
Fourth!
We spent a good portion of our trip in this king size bed! I am aware there was 3 of us but it had plenty of space, plus it was like 100 dollars cheaper. We caught up on much needed sleep and girl talk and cheesey MTV shows we never watch anymore! I believe there were several naps along with early nights in our hotel room! The Affinia hotel has amazing beds!
Last but the most important!
Was spending time with these ladies, who are not only almost always in the same boat as me, but are as honest and open as any friends can be! Plus they aren't to bad to travel with ;)!

What a fun girls trip!! Looks like you had a great time!
