Nate and I after more than 3 years of talking about it, decided to baptise the kids.
It's not that Nate and I aren't relgious, but if we were going to make this decision we wanted to make sure we were in it for good.
We want our children to be raised in a faith based home and be surronded by the idea of God.
Nate was raised in more of a general Christian environment and my sister and I growing up decided to be involved in the Catholic Church.
So it wasn't like we didn't have faith we just wanted to make the right decision for our family.
We agreed the baptising the children Catholic was best for us and for them and one day when they grow up and make their own decisions they are free to choose what they want to do with their faith.
As of now we will keep them apart of the Catholic Church and continue to incorporate God into their everyday lives.
This was a big decision for Nate and I and we are both happy we made a decision and feel comfortable with it as well.
My sister is their Godmother.
I love this picture but what stands out the most is my son's golden hair.
The Godparents, Trevor the kid's uncle and Nate's younger brother is their Godfather.
It was good day, not to mention it was Father's Day too, double celebration.
Thanks to all our family and friends who stuck it out through Mass and stayed after to support our decision.
I have to say that even though Nate and I were raised differently faith wise and our parent's all have different views on religion they were all there with so much support for our decision and that really makes a difference.
Oh and Josh and Ellen for always entertaining our daughter during Mass.
