A Great Weekend (part 1)

This past weekend I was able to hang out with some of my favorite people in the world.

On Saturday a dear friend got married in the backyard of her childhood home. Now in the Midwest outdoor weddings in the Summer can be hit or miss. You are either sweating buckets because it's 100 degrees or there is torrential down pour, however Emily picked a beautiful day that was picture perfect. All the details were so pretty and beautifully understated.

The best part of the wedding, other than Emily tying the knot, was getting to be with some of my oldest friends for an entire evening. Some of these girls have known me for almost 20 years...20 YEARS!!

I love these girls, I love who they share their lives with, I love that it doesn't feel like time passes between us when we get a chance to get together. These type of friendships are rare and not everyone is blessed with friendships like I am, I am so very thankful.

These girls hold such a large part of my past from grade school, junior high, high school, college and my early years of marriage. They are still here, they are still supportive, just as funny as when we were kids and they still have the greatest dance moves.

The wedding was beautiful. The reception was a blast. The company was exceptional.

Congrats Par and Emily the night was wonderful.
