An Update & 30 weeks!

We had another follow up with the Perinatal doctors last week and much to my relief, it went much better than the previous appointment. Nate and CeCe were able to tag along with me this time and watch little man move around on the ultrasound. At one point CeCe asked if he had a fridge in there for his food. I mean I'm 30 weeks pregnant but not that big!

He his measuring right on track and weighing in a little over 2lbs. Everything, besides his right kidney, looks beautiful. We spoke with a different doctor this time and he was very informative as well as reassuring in regards to baby's development. According to the doctor he explained that there is two different categories for kidney issues such as these, Group 1 and Group 3. Not a typo there is no group 2. However, if there was a group 2 our boy would be in that group. This is because his kidney is only slightly larger than what it should be. We go back again in August around my 33rd week to recheck and also keep an eye on my fluid level. Apparently, but not surprisingly, I'm in the higher level of normal and they want to keep an eye on it. Usually with a kidney issue baby's don't produce as much amniotic fluid. I informed the good doctor that both my other children produce HUGE amounts of water as well. We are overachievers in the Stanley home,

Last night Nate and I were working in our yard. I started laughing when I realized that we always grow the best and favorite things in the heat of summer. Watermelon, flowers and our babies. I apparently left out our tomatoes and pumpkins too.

With only 10 weeks (give or take left) we have started preparing for an extra person to join our family. My anxiety about changing our routines with a baby, is starting to kick in and I catch myself smothering CeCe and Arlo a bit to much. I have never had much of the baby blues after birth but I do get awful worries prior to delivery. I know in the end it will all work out but getting to that point is always a struggle. Thankfully I have Nate, who seems to think everything I do these days is cute or funny, my waddling, anxiety, nesting and how I want all the cereal and glazed donuts.

However, before baby can make his debute I have to deal with my oldest going in the second grade in just 4 weeks and Arlo starting preschool at the "big kid" school. Also hopefully Nate and I will have a chance to celebrate our 9th anniversary prior to baby. Lots to look forward to, so not a lot of time for worries over here.

Plus side we have an official name picked out, but we also thought of a pretty different back up name incase he is born and we aren't feeling it.

P.S they are both equally strange. That's just how we do boy names around here I guess.
