Your first official photo. Just a teeny thing.
This is the picture we sent out to our friends and family announcing you! Don't worry about my face I'm not sure what I'm doing.
Your Dad has never made it to any of the big ultrasounds, with your or your siblings. So this is how the tech gave us the news. Your Dad opened it up when he got home and told me! Greatest Surprise!
Your first trip to the ocean happend to be the same way your big brother made his first trip to the ocean too, in the belly.
Baby Boy,
Your officially have a first name and we are 90% sure of your middle name (which is what you will go by) but of course you may surprise us and come out looking like something different, so we are keeping it close until we get to meet you.
Your presence has made what could have been a very difficult season in our lives so much better. This year we have experienced a lot of loss, health issues, hiccups in our daily lives and just general run down-ness. But knowing you were going to be coming, sort of kept us from dwelling on the bad and made us focus on the joy of your arrival. There is a reason God waited till this year to bless us with you. He knew your Dad and our entire family would be needing you. No pressure to be perfect or anything. Your siblings are far from it.
We have everything ready to go, whenever you are ready to come out. We have a small pumpkin patch growing in our backyard. Your Dad said we couldn't pick the pumpkins until after your arrival. They all just turned orange this past week and are now ready for picking, so as soon as we get to bring you home, there will be 5 pumpkins sitting on our front porch. To say your brother and sister are excited to pick the pumpkins is a bit of an understatement. Ironically, the vine only grew 5 perfect pumpkins.
People keep asking me if I'm ready, or if I just want you out now, but honestly, the end of pregnancy has always been a special thing for me. Of course we would like to meet you but right now, I have you all to myself for a few more days. I'm the only one that can feel your every movement. I'm the only thing you need. It's a pretty cool thing.
When I was pregnant with your brother I made a little list of predictions on what he would be like, look like and what sort of trouble he would get himself into. Most of it was pretty accurate which I thought was funny. So here are a few of my predictions for you baby boy:
1. You will have the most stork bites than both your brother and sister.
2. Light colored eyes
3. You will be my biggest baby at birth and possibly bigger than your brother as you grow.
4. You will be my second healthiest kid
5. I have a feeling sleep is not going to be your favorite thing
6. Nor will eating
7. Other than the previous 2 things I think you will be a pretty easy going baby
8. You will look more like your Dad than your brother does
9. You will have my feet
10. School will be easiest for you
11. I think you will knock heads with your Dad more than you and I will
12. Unfortunatley, due to you having a big sister, you will not do much for yourself.
13. Your brother will be the one to give you your first bloody nose, lip, black eye or stitches. Not on purpose hopefully.
14. Books, you will love them
15. You will come out with blonde hair but it will slowly turn dark as you grow older, much like your sisters.
These could obviously be all wrong, it will be fun to look back and see later.
Can't wait to officially meet you baby boy! Try to take it easy on me if you can help it. I promise things out here are crazy but you wont find another group of people who love you more than we do.
I love you.
Mama
