Our boy turned 1 month!
In my mind I kept thinking how is that even possible?
Didn't we just bring him home from the hospital?
Guess not.
So from the last time we were at the doctor here are Arlo's stats:
8.5oz, 21in
Arlo has silent reflux which we caught much sooner than Cecelia's acid reflex when she was a baby.
We knew what to look for and what the signs were.
Arlo has a little bit of a witching hour usually early morning for about an hour and then he is a perfectly happy baby unless he needs food.
He loves to look at peoples faces when he is eating or when being held, I've never been stared at so much in my life.
Arlo LOVES music it makes him so happy. Especially if Mama and C are dancing around with him and singing along he smiles and coos.
We usually are listening to country or folk music which he seems to prefer, not that he might have clue but we tried classical and he about blew a blood vessel...no joke!
Other things we notice A loves:
Having his name sung to him
Cuddling in the mornings
warmer bottles
any type of movement
his Daddy's loud voice
walking with Mama in the mornings (it has helped with witching hour)
his bouncy seat
Things Arlo HATES:
sitting still
not being able to move his legs
opening up his hands to clean them (boy has a strong grip)
the sound of the train
silence!
his car seat (unless moving)
I think so far he is doing really well. His eye that we were worried about has now corrected itself, he is getting better and better at holding his head up for longer periods of time. He also decided that he would like to sleep for 6-7 hours at a time at night.
I'm catching myself truly enjoying and soaking up his newborness for as long as it lasts. Cecelia was like a 2 year old in an infant body.
I'm not wishing away any part of this stage because I know how quickly they start to grow and become their own little person.
