Ordinary Days

Cecelia was so sick last week she didn't really leave her room for 4 days. It was probably the sickest she has ever been in her life, all because of a sinus infection. Of course if that's the worse it gets for Cece than we will take it.
I can't help myself, if I ever see the sun on Arlo's head I can't help but take a picture of it. Especilly during dawn and dusk. I always refer to Arlo as my golden boy, but it has nothing to do with his behavior and all to do with what surronds him.
Oh Nasher, the happiest baby that ever did live. He is the most relaxed, go with the flow, content boy. He brings a little peace over our normally crazy house. Even with his first ear infection, you wouldn't have even known the boy was sick. He was all smiles, laughes and still continuing to sleep and eat like normal. This quality, besides the way he looks when he sleeps, is the one most like his big sister.

These are ordinary days in our home. One is up while the sun is rising, another will grumble till you yank their covers away, and another is contently taking it all in. Surprisingly, this can change from child to child. They each have their set ways, but sometimes, every now and again, they like to switch it up on me.

It is currently spring break in our town and most of the country and we have been staying put. We went for a walk to the library and the store on Monday and enjoyed the 70 degree day. Tuesday we met friends for lunch and then went swimming at a hotel. Wednesdsay we spent inside, in our pajamas each secluded to our own little words. Cece was on her ipad most of the day or coloring in her book. Arlo was either asleep somewhere in the house or watching cartoons on the T.V. I was reading and watching a documentary on World War II. Nash, well Nash just played, slept, ate and took a bath. It was pretty relaxing. You could tell that everyone just needed their own space, to do what they wanted. We didn't talk a lot yesterday and I probably should have been cleaning out dressers and closests instead of curled up in a chair but I figured the closests and dressers will still be there the next day. Guess what? They are.

We have 2 more days left until the weekend and then they will return back to school to finish out the year. I can't believe that they are almost done with school and summer will be upon us. That whole "the days are long but the years are short" stuff is so true and I kind of hate it.  Of course the closer to summer break, the closer we are to my favorite holiday, Independence Day!!! So I guess there's that.
